Religious Education is a ministry open to all who seek to deepen their relationship with Christ. Our parish joyfully welcomes children beginning in 1st grade, as well as teens and adults, into programs designed to nurture faith at every stage of life. Each curriculum is prayerfully prepared according to age and spiritual maturity, offering both the foundational teachings of our Catholic tradition and the richer, more intricate dimensions of Christian discipleship.
Through these formation opportunities, we strive to accompany every learner in growing in knowledge, strengthening their faith, and living more fully as disciples of the Lord.
OUR RELIGIOUS EDUCATION PROGRAM OFFERS THE FOLLOWING:
FIRST COMMUNION CLASSES FOR STUDENTS IN 1ST GRADE THROUGH 8TH GRADE MIDDLE SCHOOL. children will be placed in an AGE-APPROPRIATE Class. first communion is a TWO-YEAR program that may be accomplished in one year PROVIDED YOUR CHILD ATTEND SACRAMENTAL CLASSES and is not enrolling while in 1st grade. Please select your choice at the end of the applicatioN.
If your child is transferring from another religious education program, please provide a letter of proof at the time of registration.
First Communion Class Schedule/ BAPTIZED CHILDREN:
First Communion classes are held every Sunday from 9:00 am to 10:30 am, followed by 11:00 am Holy Mass. Students entering the program for the first time after their second grade in elementary school, who have been baptized but have not received Holy Communion will be required to attend a second class (Sacramental Class or second year ) during the weekday, held every 1ST and 3RD Wednesday of the month from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm at Mother Cabrini or other designated area, unless otherwise noted.
FAITH FORMATION CLASSES FOR STUDENTS IN THE 3RD THROUGH 8th GRADE
Students who have already been baptized and received Holy Communion can continue with faith formation classes, held every Sunday from 9:00 am to 10:30 am at the Mother Cabrini Center or other designated area, followed by 11:00 am Mass.
RCIA FOR CHILDREN/TEENAGERS, AGES 7 TO 17 YEARS OF AGE SEEKING BAPTISM AND OR FIRST COMMUNION. FIRST COMMUNION IS A TWO-YEAR PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG TEENS.
Children ages seven (7) through ten (10) years of age can only celebrate the Sacrament of Baptism in the first year of religious education. He/she will be required to attend an additional year to celebrate his/her First Communion or can elect to attend Sacramental Classes as an alternative to his/her second year DURING the first year. RCIA classes will be divided by age or class grade in school and classes will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Parish Hall Conference Room(s). Children and families required to attend Mass at 9:00 AM.
RCIA FOR ADULTS
Adults seeking the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Holy Communion, and or Confirmation) must attend RCIA for adults and be guided by the RCIA class schedule. The class meets from 10:00 am to 11:30 am every Sunday following the 9:00 am Mass at the Parish Hall or other designated area.
CONFIRMATION PROGRAM FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS (2 YEAR PROGRAM)
High school students who have been baptized and have received his/her First Communion are encouraged to attend the Confirmation Program to prepare and receive the Sacrament of Confirmation, students nearing their eighteenth (18th) birthday will be encouraged to apply to the RCIA Adult Program. Classes are held every Sunday beginning with the 11:00 am Mass, followed by class instruction from 12:00 noon to 1:30 pm at the Mother Cabrini Center.

LA PRIMERA COMUNION ES UN PROGRAMA DE DOS ANOS QUE PUEDE COMPLETARSE EN UN ANO SIEMPRE Y CUANDO SU HIJO/A ASISTA A CLASES SACRAMENTALES Y NO SE INSCRIBA MIENTRAS ESTE EN PRIMER GRADO. POR FAVOR, SELECCIONA TU ELECCION AL FINAL DE LA APLICACION.
Si su hijo/a se esta transfiriendo de otro programa de educaciOn retigiosa, por favor proporciona una carta de comprobante al momento de la inscripci0n.
HORARIO DE CLASES DE LA PRIMERA COMUNION/ NINOS BAUTIZADOS:
Las clases de Primera ComuniOn se llevan a cabo todos los domingos de 9:00 am a 10:30 am, seguidas de la Misa de las 11:00 am. Los estudiantes que ingresen al programa por primera vez durante o despues de su segundo grado en la primaria, que hayan sido bautizados pero no hayan recibido la Sagrada ComuniOn deberan asistir a una segunda clase (Clase Sacramental o segundo ario) durante los Was laborables, que se llevan a cabo cada 1er y tercer rniercoles de cada mes de 6:30 pm a 8:00 pm en el Centro Madre Cabrini u otro Lugar designado, a menos que se indique to contrario.
CLASES DE FORMACION EN LA FE PARA ESTUDIANTES DE TERCER A OCTAVO GRADO
Los estudiantes que ya han sido bautizados y recibido la Sagrada ComuniOn pueden continuar con las clases de formacion en la fe, que se llevan a
cabo todos los domingos de 9:00 am a 10:30 am en el Centro Madre Cabrini u otra area designada, seguidas de misa a las 11:00 am.
RCIA PARA NINOS/ADOLESCENTES, DE 7 A 17 ANOS QUE BUSCAN EL BAUTISMO Y/O LA PRIMERA COMUNION. LA PRIMERA COMUNION ES UN PROGRAMA DE DOS ANOS PARA NINOS Y ADOLESCENTES.
Los ninos de siete (7) a diez (10) alms solo pueden celebrar el Sacramento del Bautismo en el primer alio de educaciOn religiosa. Se le requerira asistir un ario adicional para celebrar su Primera ComuniOn o puede elegir asistir a las Clases Sacramentales como alternativa a su segundo atio DURANTE el primer alio. Las clases de RCIA se dividiran por edad o grado escolar y seran de 10:00 AM a 11:00 AM en la(s) Sala(s) de Conferencias del SalOn Parroquial. Los nitios y familias deben asistir a misa a las 9:00 AM.
RCIA PARA ADULTOS
Los adultos que buscan los Sacramentos de IniciaciOn (Bautismo, Sagrada ComuniOn y/o Confirmaci0n) deben asistir al RCIA para adultos y ser guiados por el horario de clases del RCIA para adultos. La clase se reune de 10:00 am a 11:30 am todos los domingos despues de la misa de las 9:00 am en el SalOn Parroquial u otra area designada.
PROGRAMA DE CONFIRMACION PARA ESTUDIANTES DE PREPARATORIA (PROGRAMA DE 2 ANOS)
Se anima a los estudiantes de preparatoria que hayan sido bautizados y hayan recibido su Primera ComuniOn a asistir al Programa de ConfirmaciOn para preparar y recibir et Sacramento de la Confirmaci0n; los estudiantes que se acerquen a cumplir dieciocho (18) cumpleanos seran alentados a postularse al Programa de RICA para Adultos. Las clases se imparten todos los domingos comenzando con la misa de las 11:00 am, seguida de instrucciOn de 12:00 a 1:30 pm en el Centro Madre Cabrini.
